Privacy Policy

Effective date: [6/9/2026]

This page covers how Anime Vault (animewebsite.net) collects, uses and protects information about visitors and users. We tried to keep it short and readable. If anything feels unclear, email us through the Contact page and we will explain in plain language.

Who we are

Anime Vault is an independent anime blog publishing character guides, picture collections, recommendations, watch guides and short videos. We run a small editorial team. We do not sell or rent personal data to anyone, ever.

What we collect

Three buckets.

1. What you give us voluntarily.

If you fill the contact form, submit a guest post pitch, leave a comment, or subscribe to the newsletter, we keep what you type in those fields. That usually means name, email address, and the message body. We use that to reply to you, send the newsletter you signed up for, or publish your comment under the name you provided. Nothing else.

2. What your browser sends automatically.

Every page load, your browser sends some basic technical data: IP address, browser type, device (mobile, tablet, desktop), the page you came from, and timestamps. Every site on the internet receives this. We use it to spot mobile bugs, see which pages are getting traffic, and improve loading speed.

3. Cookies and analytics.

Small text files our site (and connected services) drop on your browser. We use them to remember preferences, measure visits, and run faster.

Third party services we use

These services may set cookies or receive some data when you use Anime Vault:

  • Google Analytics: anonymous page view and session data
  • Google Search Console: search performance data (no personal info)
  • LiteSpeed Cache and QUIC.cloud CDN: performance and image delivery
  • Contact Form 7 and Akismet: form submission handling and spam filtering
  • Rank Math SEO: meta tags and structured data (no personal data collected)
  • Hostinger: hosting infrastructure
  • Mailchimp, Beehiiv or ConvertKit: newsletter sending, only if you subscribed
  • Google AdSense: contextual ads, if active when you visit

Each of these has its own privacy policy. You can look those up directly on their sites.

How we use the information

  • Reply to messages you send us
  • Send the newsletter, only to subscribers who opted in
  • Publish comments under your chosen name
  • Understand traffic patterns and improve the site
  • Detect and block spam
  • Comply with legal obligations if any apply

We do not sell your email address. We do not share your data with random third parties. We do not run “behavioral ads” beyond what Google AdSense does by default in its standard configuration.

Your rights

You can:

  • Request a copy of the personal info we hold about you
  • Ask us to delete it
  • Unsubscribe from the newsletter using the link in every newsletter email
  • Edit or delete comments you have posted

Email us through the Contact page with subject line Privacy request and we will respond within five business days.

If you are based in the EU or UK (GDPR), or California (CCPA), you have additional formal rights including data portability and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Same email handles those.

Children

Anime Vault is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has submitted personal information through our site, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

When we update this policy in a way that affects you (new third party service, new tracking method, expanded data use), we update this page and bump the effective date at the top. For significant changes we may also email registered users.
